The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous body set up to evolve and implement world class processes of assessment and selection of personnel for various client organizations. 

IBPS provides its service to all Public Sector Banks, SBI, Associate Banks of SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, few Co.op.Banks, LIC & Insurance companies which are regular members of the IBPS society.

Over the years, IBPS has gained reputation of being a major “Personnel Selection Test Conducting Agency” of the country. Its strength lies in its capability to develop and construct Multiple Choice Objective Tests & tools used for mass level testing programmes and its ability to conduct these exams simultaneously for lakhs & lakhs of candidates in about 200 cities/towns all over India and also in few foreign locations. 

In Banking, the main exams conducted by IBPS are given below:
  • IBPS PO
  • IBPS Clerk
  • IBPS RRB
  • IBPS SO

IBPS PO

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts its examination for the post of Probationary Officer (PO). But this time the exam will be conducted in two levels Tier 1 & 2 (Preliminary & mains). Two tier exam for recruitment of PO/MT from CWE V onwards. IBPS department decided to take IBPS PO Online exam in two parts: 

1. IBPS Preliminary Exam
2. IBPS Mains Exam.

Note: All participants who successfully registered himself / herself in PO/MT V firstly have to fight with (Preliminary) Pre exam and Shortlist candidates in Preliminary examination will be called for Mains Exam. Marks scored in mains exam will be decided for short listing for interview.

IBPS Preliminary Exam Pattern:
IBPS Pre Exam Pattern will contain 100 questions & in 3 sections in the Preliminary Examination with 1 hour duration. The marks obtained in the Preliminary examination will not be considered for preparing the final merit list.

Important Note – Marks obtained by the candidates in the Main examination will only be considered for shortlisting for Interview and preparation of final merit list.

Note: There will be negative marking for wrong answers marked by the candidates in both Preliminary and Main Examination which implies a penalty of one – fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

IBPS PO MT Eligibility Criteria

Education:

General category candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 60% in any stream from any recognized state or central university. This percentile is reduced to 55% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Age:

Candidate’s age must be between 21 years and 30 years (as on 1 July 2015). Age of proof will be calculated from class X passing certificate.

Nationality:

Candidate must have an Indian Nationality or the person should be a Nepalese or Bhutani or a Tibetan refugee migrated to India before 1 January 1962 to settle permanently in India OR a candidate of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, United Republic Of Tanzania, Zaire, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Vietnam to settle permanently in India.

C)  Interview Process
The last round of selection is Interview process to be attended only by the candidates who would have obtained the minimum cut off score in the Main Examination. The Interview will be held at selected centres and will be conducted by Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS.

PARTICIPATING BANKS

IBPS Clerk

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts its examination for the post of Clerks. But this time the exam will be conducted in two levels Tier 1 & 2 (Preliminary & mains). Two tier exam for recruitment of Clerk from CWE V onwards.

IBPS department decided to take IBPS 5 Online exam in two parts

1. IBPS Preliminary Exam
2. IBPS Mains Exam

Note: All participants who successfully registered himself / herself in Clerk V firstly have to fight with (Preliminary) Pre exam and Shortlist candidates in Preliminary examination will be called for Mains Exam. Marks scored in mains exam will be decided for short listing for interview.

IBPS CLERK Eligibility Criteria 2015


Educational Qualifications:
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 01.09.2015. Such certificates should be dated on or before 01.09.2015.

Age
Age (As on 01.08.2015):
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years
i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1995 (both dates inclusive)

Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either -
(i) a Citizen of India or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

There will be single examination for Recruitment of Officers and Assistants in the Gramin Banks across country. So this means that there is no Pre/Mains pattern in IBPS RRB in selection process of RRBs. The only change in this year’s RRB is Common Interview and the timings of the exam has been reduced to 2 hours.

03.07.1983 and later than 30.06.1994 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I- Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than
03.07.1985 and later than 30.06.1997 (both dates inclusive)
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born
earlier than 02.07.1987 and later than 01.07.1997 (both dates inclusive)




INTERVIEW
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE- RRBs-IV will subsequently be called or an Interview to be conducted with the help of the designated Nodal Regional Rural Bank in each State/UT and coordinated by IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in. Please note that any request regarding change in date,
centre etc. of interview will not be entertained. However the conducting agencies reserve the right to change the date/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview or hold supplementary process for particular date / session / venue / centre / set of candidates at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any.
The proficiency in local language will be tested at the time of interview.
The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks / scores in interview and within it for local language proficiency will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates). The minimum qualifying marks in interview for Officer Scale II and III will also be not less than 40% for all the candidates except 35% for SC / ST candidates. The relative weightage (ratio) of CWE and interview will be 70:30 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Examination of CWE for RRBs-IV and Interview.
Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.
A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be
shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available
subsequently on IBPS website.
While appearing for the Interview, the candidate should produce valid prescribed documents given below.
In the absence of documents candidature of the candidates shall be cancelled. IBPS/ Nodal RRB/RRBs take no responsibility to receive/ connect any certificate/remittance/ document sentseparately.
