Important Details
a) Qualifications:
For
Employees category and Agents category in both Urban and Rural area-
Applicant shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India.
Preference may be given to those applicants who possess Masters Degree
in Business Administration in Marketing or Post Graduate Diploma in
Marketing from a University in India established under Statute or by an
Institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education or a
recognized Institution.
b) Age:
The applicant shall have completed 21 years of age (in completed years) and not more than 30 years of age (in completed years).
On-line Test:
On-line test will be of objective type, multiple choice of two hours duration comprising of the following three papers:
Note:
Candidate
MUST pass in each paper separately and should also obtain minimum marks
in the aggregate of the three papers to qualify for the interview. The
minimum marks to be obtained in each paper and in the aggregate shall be
decided by LIC of India. The marks obtained by the candidate in each
paper and in the aggregate shall be arrived at after deduction of the
marks for wrong answers. The Corporation reserves the right to fix the
minimum eligibility standard in order to restrict the number of
candidates to be called for the On-line Test and/or Interview,
commensurate with number of vacancies.
Decision of
the Corporation in this regard shall be final and binding on the
candidates. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
Interview:
Successful
candidate will be eligible to be called for an Interview. The Candidates
shall be ranked in the order of the aggregate of their marks in the
online test and the interview and selection shall be made from among
them in the order of their merit having regard to the number of
Apprentice Development Officers proposed to be recruited.
LIC AAO Syllabus & Exam
While focusing on this exam here we will be
discussing the selection process, the pattern, syllabus of the exam and
previous year cutoffs. The final selection will be made on the basis of
your performance in-
1. Written test followed by2. Personal interview
The exam will be of objective multiple choice type which will be conducted online. The overall duration for the exam is 120 minutes (2 hours) and it will consist following test.
But there will be a penalty for every wrong answer given by you in the test. For every wrong answer ¼ of the marks will be deducted, while no penalty for un-attempted questions.
Note:
1. Here the nature of test for English language is qualifying and the marks obtained in this test would not be considered for ranking.
2. The candidate is required to clear a sectional cutoff and also overall cutoff meant to qualify for personal interview.

2. General knowledge will be covered from topics like country-capital-currency-head, dance forms , famous places, dams, nuclear and thermal power stations etc.
IV.Computer
This section covers topics from various topics like1.Networking
2.Input output devices
3.DBMS
4.MS Office
5.Internet
6. History of computer & generations
7. Shortcuts.
V.English
This section covers topics from various topics like1.Error spotting
2. Reading comprehension
3. Sentence rearrangement
4. Sentence improvement

Note: Although English is qualifying but you have to score minimum marks required to qualify. These are LIC AAO 2013 cutoffs.

Quantitative aptitude– Fast track by Rajesh Verma (Arihant publications), quantitative aptitude by R S Aggarwal.
English-(although qualifying, but can read from) objective general English by S P Bakshi.
