RRB EXAM SYLLABUS - PATTERN


As all you know that RRB( Railway Recruitment Board ) notification has come out. Many of you are planning to fill up the form and some of them are still in phase of uncertainty that either I should fill it or not. Here we would like to say that ,Readers as all of you are preparing for General Competition almost has similar exam pattern with a bit variation in standard level. So, all of you should go for RRB.


To crack any exam - first of all, you must be aware of exam syllabus and pattern. Here we are providing the detail exam syllabus and pattern. 

Exam Pattern :-

(1)Common Preliminary Examination.
(2)Main (second stage) Exam followed by Verification of documents.:-

Note 1: Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Exam will again have to apply separately for Main (second stage) Examinations.

Note 2:  There will be negative marking of 1/3 for each wrong answer.

RRB SELECTION PROCEDURE WITH GRADE PAY..!!!


Dear Readers,

Many aspirants are still confused regarding RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) selection procedure. In this post , we are providing RRB SELECTION PROCEDURE WITH GRADE PAY in detail. RRB selection procedure is a three stage exam, not compulsory for all, which vary designation to designation. Here we have tried to give full selection procedure for different designation.



Stage I (CBT)

1. There  Shall be  a CBT (Computer Based Test) common for all the post categories (1 to 9). The Question papers shall be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. 

2.The question paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and local languages. The standard of questions for the single stage CBT (Computer Based Test) will be generally in conformity with the educational standards prescribed for the posts. 

3.The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning. 

4.The Question paper for single stage CBT will be of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions 

5.There shall be negative marking and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer to 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.

Stage 2.

(Typing Test)

1.For the posts of Cat No: 5,6, & 9 (Sr.Clerk Cum Typist, JAA, Sr.lime Keeper) Typing Skill Test of qualifying nature (marks obtained in typing skill test shall not be added for making merit) shall be conducted. 

2.The number of candidates equal to eight times the number of vacancies shall be called for. 

3.The candidates should be able to type 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on PC only with disabling editing tools and spell check facility. 

4.For skill test in Hindi, KrutiDev and Mangal font shall be made available for skill test on PC. 

5.The merit will be drawn only for the candidates qualified in the typing skill test based on performance in CBT Exemption in Typing Skill Test may be extended to PWD candidates having disability of more than 40%. Such candidates are required to bring


Aptitude Test

1.For the posts of Cat. No. 7 & 8 (ASM, Traffic Assistant) Aptitude Test shall be conducted. 

2.The merit will be drawn only for the candidates qualifying in the aptitude test, with 70% weightage being given to the marks obtained in the CBT and 30% weightage being given to the marks obtained in aptitude test. 

3.Candidates called for Aptitude Test for the post of ASM & Traffic Assistant are required to bring Vision Certificate to Aptitude Test Centre from an Eye Specialist on prescribed proforma as per Annexure IX of notification, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the Aptitude Test.


Stage III (Final Stage) Document Verification 

1.Short listed candidates will be called for verification of original documents. In addition to the no. of vacancies, 50% extra candidates shall also be called for all the categories unless otherwise specified as standby candidates merely to avoid shortfall in empanelment.

2.During document verification, candidates will have to produce their original certificates. No additional time will be given and the candidature of the candidates not producing their original certificates on the date of verification is liable to be forfeited.
