IBPS PO 2015 Mains Exam Analysis & Expected Cutoff

Dear Aspirants,

The much awaited IBPS PO 2015 Mains Exam starts today. The First Slot of the exam is over now, which was conducted from 9 am and the Exam lasted till 11 pm. Many of you have appeared in morning session of the IBPS PO Mains Exam. In this post we are providing detail analysis of the 1st Slot exam along with expected cutoff. Personality Test is of 45 minutes. 

Pattern of the IBPS PO 2015 Mains Exam –

Here is the detail analysis of IBPS PO 2015 Mains Exam 

I. English Language (Total 40 Qs) 

Level – Moderate

(i) Reading Comprehension – 2 RC. (Moderate) 

Based on UN’s Goal in India’s Relation.

(ii) Cloze Test – 5 Qs. (Moderate) 

(iii) Parajumbles – 5 Qs. (Based on Greece Exit from Eurozone) 

(iv) Sentence Improvement – 5 Qs. 

(v) Spotting Error – 5 Qs

II. Reasoning Ability (Total 50 Qs.)

Level – Tough (High Level) 

(i) Syllogism – 5 Qs. (Easy) 

You have to mark the conclusion which does not follow. 

(ii) Seating Arrangement (Circular) – 5 Qs. Moderate 

(Based on Blood Relation) Some are facing outside and some are facing inside)

(iii) Linear Arrangement – 5 Qs. (North South Facing) 

(iv) Puzzle – 2 Puzzle (10 Qs. )

1 puzzle on Floor – Moderate 

(v) Input Output – 5 Qs. Tough 

(vi) Logical Reasoning – 10 Qs. 

(vii) Data Sufficiency) – 5 Qs.

No Inequality Questions asked in Reasoning Section. 

III. Quantitative Aptitude (Total 50 Qs)

Level – Moderate to Tough

(i) Number Series – 5 Qs. Wrong number 

(iii) Data Interpretation – In each set of DI there were 6 – 7 Questions.

Pie chart, Bar Chart, Line Graph. 

(iv) Caselet DI – 5 Qs.

(v) Data Sufficiency – 6 Qs.

(vi) Miscellaneous Questions – 10 Qs.

Miscellaneous Questions consist of questions from different topics such as – Profit loss, Average, SI & CI, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Time, Speed & Distance, Boats & Streams, etc.

No Quadratic Questions asked in Quant Section. 

IV. Computer Knowledge (Total 20 Qs.)

Level – Easy 

Most of the questions in this section were easy. You can easily answer 16 questions in this section.

V. General Awareness (Total 40 Qs.)

Level – Easy 

There were questions on the current affairs & Banking Awareness topics. This section also included questions on  books & authors, currencies, Important Places, Awards, Headquarters, Prime Ministers Schemes, Important Days  etc. Overall questions from this section were of moderate difficulty level.

Some Gk Questions Asked were –

3. BBB head?

4. Not a payment bank in a list?

IBPS PO 2015 Mains Exam Expected Cutoff 

As per the analysis the expected cutoff of IBPS PO 2015 Mains Exam will be in a range of 75 – 82 .
