SBI Clerk Recruitment Exam 2015

State Bank of India (sbi.co.in) will conduct the SBI Clerk Exam 2015 for selecting eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Clerk for year 2015-16. Exam shall be held in online mode over a duration of one month comprising of Preliminary and Main Examination. Tentatively, the process of application will begin by 3rd week of October 2015. There are multiple stages of selection, description of which is given in this article. Every candidate must strive to achieve as many marks as possible to strengthen the chances of final recruitment. SBI Clerk 2015  – Vacancies Details

2014

  • In 2014, there were a total of 5092 vacancies for the post of assistant in clerical cadre.
  • 2690 vacancies were for General category candidates.
  • 760 vacancies for Scheduled Caste.
  • 11709 vacancies for Other Backward Classes.
  • Top three vacancies were in Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.

There can be a slight variation in the vacancies this year. Official notification for vacancies is yet to be released by SBI. We will update the same here once it is officially declared.

SBI Clerk Application Form 2015

To register for the online exam, candidates have to fill the application form, which would be issued exclusively in the online mode. To fill the application form, candidate has to access the official website of SBI and enter some basic details. Afterwards, he has to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in appropriate format. The last step is to pay the application fees in either online mode or offline mode. Tentatively, the SBI Clerk Application Form will be released in 3rd  week of October 2015. Last date to fill the form would be in 2nd week of November 2015. Once the form is filled, candidates have to take its printout. Care must be taken that only correct and complete details are filled in the application form else the candidate would be barred from personal interview at the round of document verification.
Application Fees
Candidates belonging to unreserved category and reserved category have to pay Rs.600 and Rs.100, respectively. SBI Clerk 2015 Application Fee can be paid in online mode or offline mode. For online mode, remittance can be made thru credit/debit card or online banking. Offline mode involves payment thru a challan, which can be downloaded from the official website. This challan has to be deposited at any specified branch. Details of the transaction ID has to be filled in the application form to complete the process. Receipt of fee must be preserved to produce later on.

SBI Clerk Selection Process 2015

The part and parcel of selection process includes several stages – online examination, document verification, and personal interview. The candidates who qualify in the online written exam are called for personal interview and document verification round. Finally, a merit list is drawn using the normalized scores of online exam and personal interview. Candidates in the final merit list are designated as assistant in clerical cadre in any of the branches of SBI. Selection is purely made on the basis of inter-se merit list.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2015

Every candidate must read the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. It is a set of terms and conditions set in the aspects of age, nationality, and educational qualification which a candidate must satisfy in order to become eligible. We have compiled all the conditions of eligibility in the following paragraph:
  • Candidate must have completed his graduation degree or equivalent in any discipline from a state or central recognized university.
  • Age of the candidate must be between 20 to 28 years as on the date specified.
  • Upper age limit is granted to candidates belonging to some specific categories.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2015

Candidates must read the exam pattern before starting preparation for the exam. It is a blueprint of the exam and the question paper which tells about number, type of questions, marking scheme and exam duration. By reading the pattern, candidates can plan their attempt strategy in a better way and thus score more in lesser attempts and time.
  • Exam will be held in online mode only.
  • Candidates have to mark their answers, online using mouse.
  • Use of keyboard is prohibited during the exam.
  • Question will be flashed on the screen one by one.
  • A candidate can surf between questions/sections as many times as he wants.
  • As per the SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2015, total duration of the exam is 135 minutes.
  • There shall be 5 sections in the exam – General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge.
  • Total marks in the exam are 200.
  • Each section carries 50 marks.
  • For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • For each incorrect answer, ¼ marks will be deducted.

SBI Clerk Admit Card 2015

Admit card would be made available to those candidates who fill the application form and pay the application fees successfully. The link to download the admit card would be made available on the official website of SBI. Hall ticket would not be sent to the candidate’s address in post or courier. To download the admit card, access the official website of SBI and enter some basic details such as application number, date of birth etc. On entering the details, admit card would be screened. You can press the print command to generate SBI Clerk 2015 Hall Ticket printout. It is mandatory to bring the hall ticket at the exam venue else the candidate would not be permitted to give the exam. Also, you must paste your photo on the admit card and attach a photocopy of the government approved photo ID proof. On the photocopy, mention your roll number, registration number, name and signature. You must keep the admit card safe till the recruitment process is complete.

SBI Clerk Result 2015

SBI will issue the result of the exam on its official website. Candidates have to open the official website and download the PDF file of roll number of selected candidates. In the PDF, if they are selected, they would find their roll number. Based on the result, candidates would be selected for next round of selection. If a candidate crosses the cutoff, he would be selected. All the rest will be rejected. Scorecard will be issued once the recruitment process is over. To see the scores, candidates have to enter their roll number, password and date of birth. Final SBI Clerk Result 2015 of the merit list will be posted similarly on the official website. Additionally, an email and SMS will be dropped to the candidate’s email ID and mobile number respectively informing about the result.
